The 7" dual diaphragm power brake booster features a steel housing that is hand-polished before chrome plating for a high-quality finish. The included 1" bore dual-bowl cast iron master cylinder features a natural finish and chrome lid that complements the polished booster. A disc/drum proportioning valve completes the combination for compatible front disc and rear drum brake systems.

This GM F-Body power brake booster and master cylinder kit includes a disc/drum proportioning valve designed for vehicles equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.

Important: This kit is configured for front disc/rear drum brake systems. Vehicles equipped with four-wheel disc brakes require an appropriate disc/disc proportioning valve configuration.

1" Bore Cast Iron Master Cylinder with Chrome Lid

The included dual-bowl cast iron master cylinder features a 1" bore, natural finish, and chrome lid. Its traditional cast iron construction is paired with a polished chrome lid that complements the power brake booster.

Master cylinder bore size plays an important role in braking performance. Compared with a larger 1-1/8" bore master cylinder, a 1" bore generally produces greater hydraulic pressure for the same pedal force, although pedal travel and overall braking characteristics depend on the complete system.

Confirm that the 1" bore master cylinder is appropriate for your specific brake calipers, rear wheel cylinders, and braking configuration.

Chrome Power Brake Booster and Factory Firewall Mounting
