Improve the stopping and appearance of your 1965-67 Ford Mustang Factory D11 Calipers by upgrading to our MaxGrip Lite 4 Piston aluminum calipers! The MaxGrip Lite 4 Piston aluminum calipers are a direct bolt on to the 1965-67 Mustang Disc Brake Bracket. The sleek design of this caliper will allow for you to retain your stock 14" disc brake wheels or use many of the aftermarket 14x7 and larger aftermarket wheels. With this kit you will receive a pair of MaxGrip Lite 4 Piston Calipers, Semi-Metallic D11 Brake pads and braided stainless steel brake hoses. The USA Made MaxGrip Lite 4 Piston Aluminum calipers are made from a high strength forged billet aluminum weighing 5 lbs less than the factory caliper! Use this caliper kit with any factory replacement rotor or try our MaxGrip XDS Drilled & Slotted Rotors! This upgrade kit will also work with many aftermarket disc brake kits that use the factory D11 calipers commonly found on 1964-73 Mustang, Ford Falcon, Mercury Cougar and many more.

All LEED Brakes kits for the 1964-73 Ford Mustang are a simple installation. Our disc brake kits are designed to fit to your factory drum brake spindle (except 1964-66 – 6 cylinder cars) without any modifications. The stopping power comes from our MaxGrip Lite 4 Piston Aluminum Caliper designed after the Factory Kelsey Hayes D11 calipers used on the factory disc brake Mustangs from 1965-1967. Our calipers are assembled with stainless steel pistons and have a anodized finish on the caliper forging for maximum corrosion protection.
One question we get a lot is “How do I install the Master Cylinder and Brake lines on my Mustang?” LEED Brakes has made this installation very simple by including pre-bent brake lines that install from the new master cylinder to your factory distribution block. Simply bench bleed your master cylinder in a vice off the vehicle. Next mount the master cylinder to the firewall, install your new brake lines and bleed the rest of your system. The power booster installation is simple as everything mounts in the factory power brake mounting locations on your firewall. These locations detailed in our instructions and require some firewall modifications on 1967-70 Mustangs. These are simple modifications that were also done at the factory when assembling a Mustang equipped with power brakes.
