Why Choose a LEED Brakes 1969 Ford Mustang Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit?
LEED Brakes’ front disc brake conversion kits for the 1969 Ford Mustang ship complete with everything you need for a smooth installation—just add brake fluid and bearing grease. Each kit is designed for a factory-style fit, making your upgrade straightforward and reliable.
The included 4-piston calipers are precision-engineered to replicate the factory Kelsey Hayes calipers used on 1965–67 Mustangs with disc brakes. Built with stainless steel pistons and finished with a zinc-plated coating, these calipers are made to resist corrosion and deliver leak-free performance for the life of your vehicle. Zinc-plated splash shields are also included for added protection and a clean, long-lasting look.
All LEED Brakes kits for 1964–73 Mustangs—including the 1969 Mustang—are designed to bolt directly to your factory drum brake spindle (except 1964–66 6-cylinder models) with no modifications needed. Step-by-step installation instructions with photos are included to guide you through the entire process.
Wondering how to install the master cylinder and brake lines on your 1969 Mustang? LEED Brakes simplifies this by including pre-bent brake lines that run from the new master cylinder to your factory distribution block. Bench bleed the master cylinder off the car, mount it to the firewall, connect the new lines, and then bleed the rest of the system.
Power brake booster installation is just as easy. The booster mounts in the factory location on the firewall. For 1967–70 Mustangs, slight firewall modifications may be necessary—just as they were during original factory assembly. These steps are fully detailed in our included instructions.
