When upgrading to a dual bowl master cylinder, it is always wise to include a proportioning valve equipped with a safety switch. The safety switch in this valve detects unequal or low pressure to one or more wheels, typically due to component failure. When the valve senses this change in pressure, it cuts off the fluid supply to the defective brakes, preventing a leak.
